Dr. Jin-Tae Kim is the Professor of Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Seoul National University College of Medicine. He is the Chief of Pediatric Division of Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine in 1998. He finished his internship in 1999 and resident training in 2003 at Seoul National University Hospital. He completed post-doctoral research fellowship at Duke University Hospital in the US. His major field of clinical and research interest is perioperative medicine. Subspecialties are pediatric anesthesia, cardiac anesthesia and regional anesthesia. He is currently a president of KSPA, a director of planning of KSCVA, a director of planning of KSRA and a chairperson of Future Competency Enhancement TFT of KSA. He performed many clinical and basic research regarding pediatric cardiac anesthesia, perioperative medicine, practical ultrasonography and acute pain management. He published more than 300 peer-reviewed journal articles.

Dr. Jeong-Rim Lee is currently serving as a professor in the Department of Anaesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Yonsei University College of Medicine. She completed her medical degree from Seoul National University College of Medicine in 2001 and Ph.D. from the same university in 2006. Dr. Lee specializes in pediatric anaesthesia and is the Division Chief of Pediatric Anaesthesia at Severance Hospital. Her clinical and research interests include respiratory complications, airway management, and postoperative pain management for pediatric patients undergoing abdominal, urologic, and endoscopic surgeries.
Dr. Lee has held several prestigious positions throughout her career. She served as the Program Chair for the 2023 annual conference of the Asian Society of Pediatric Anaesthesiologists and currently holds positions such as Director of Academic Affairs of the Korean Society of Pediatric Anaesthesiologists (KSPA), Director of Publication of the Korean Society of Anaesthetic Pharmacology (KSAP), and Director of Cooperation of Korean Society for Airway Management. Additionally, she is an editor of Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine (APM) and the Yonsei Medical Journal (YMJ).
Apart from her work, Dr. Lee loves exploring different parts of the world and playing golf at unique and local venues.

Dr Teddy Fabila is a Resident Physician in KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Paediatric Anaesthesia Department and Visiting Consultant at the Philippine Childre's Medical Centre. Jurgen is an anesthesiologist (2008) and epidemiologist (2004). He obtained his PhD at the Academic Medical Center, University of Amsterdam (2003) on the thesis entitled: "The use of microcirculatory techniques in the assessment of pathophysiology, diagnosis and management of critical limb ischemia". He was trained at the St. Antonius Hospital, Nieuwegein (2008) and became a staff (pediatric) anesthesiologist at the Wilhelmina Children's Hospital, University Medical Center Utrecht (2008). He was a visiting researcher at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne (2012). He is anesthesiologists at Adrz - Erasmus MC, Goes and adjunct assistant professor at Weill Cornell Medicine, New York.
His research focuses on the improvement of perioperative care in children using retrospective and prospective pre- and intraoperative (database) studies. He was involved in various international multicenter research projects (NECTARINE, MPOG, PeDi-Registry, NIRS and isoelectric EEG events in infants). Furthermore, he was president (2022 - 2023) and honorary secretary (2016-2021) of the European Society for Paediatric Anaesthesiology (ESPA) and is part of the scientific committee since 2015. He has published over 115 papers in international papers and is a regular invited speaker at national and international conferences. Furthermore, he is editor of European Journal of Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesia and a reviewer of various international scientific journals.

Dr. Erlinda Oracion is a highly experienced pediatric anesthesiologist with over 30 years of experience
advocating for patient safety. She is an expert in advanced airway management, perioperative crisis
management, patient blood management, antimicrobial stewardship, leadership, governance, and innovative
digitalization.
Currently, Dr. Oracion chairs the Safety and Quality of Practice Committee of the World Federation of Societies
of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA), leads the Asian Society of Paediatric Anaesthesiologists (ASPA) Patient Safety
Group, and chairs the Commission on Patient Safety & Quality Assurance of the Philippine Society of
Anesthesiologists (PSA). She is also actively involved in the Education Committee of the Asian Society of
Paediatric Anaesthesiologists (ASPA).
Dr. Oracion is leading the simulation programs at the Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine
at Rizal Medical Center and the Cardinal Santos Medical Center's Department of Anesthesiology and Pain
Medicine. She is one of the founders and a program director of the Collaborative Simulation Training in
Anesthesia (COSTA). Additionally, she is a facilitator and active member of the Anesthesia Critical Care

Dr. Oracion's passion for improving patient care has led her to become the lead physician assessor for the
Philippine Tripartite Accreditation for Health Facilities Inc. She previously served as the President of the

Dr. Siripruekpong has been a faculty member of the Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University since 2009. Dr Angela Yeo is a senior consultant anesthesiologist and pain medicine physician in the Department of Paediatric Anaesthesia in Kandang Kerbau Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) Singapore.
She graduated from the NUS School of Medicine in 2005 with an MBBS and achieved her MMed (Anesthesiology) in 2012. She registered as a specialist with the Singapore Medical Council in 2014 and completed a Fellowship in Paediatric Anaesthesia & Pain Medicine with the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Melbourne after having been awarded the Singhealth Health Manpower Development Plan Award that same year. It was there that her deep and abiding interest in better pain management for children was borne and nutured.
Upon returning to Singapore, Angela was appointed the Clinical Director of her hospital’s Children’s Pain Service. She also runs the Children’s Pain Management Clinic, Asia’s first pediatric interdisciplinary pain management clinic, where she sees complex and chronic pain with her team.
She is active in multiple pain communities and her passion for paediatric pain advocacy in Southeast Asia is well recognized. As founding president of the ASPA Paediatric Pain Special Interest Group, she encouraged paediatric pain education, research and outreach in her term. She subsequently also established the Association of Southeast Asian Pain Societies (ASEAPS) Paediatric Pain Network and is a Councillor with the Pain in Childhood Special Interest Group of the IASP.

Dr. Irfan Suleman is an Associate professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. His areas of clinical expertise include Pediatric Anesthesia as well as Multidisciplinary Pediatric Chronic Pain Management and pediatric interventional pain management. Dr. Suleman serves as the Founding Director of Pediatric Pain Interventional Program at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center and the Founding Program Medical Director of Multidisciplinary Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Program at Kennedy Krieger Institute.
Dr. Suleman completed his anesthesiology residency training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and completed his pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital /UAMS and Pediatric Pain fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard University.

Department of Anaesthesiology UKM Medical Centre. She was involved in teaching
and training Masters Students in Anaesthesia and has also been an examiner for the
Masters examination in Anaesthesia in Malaysia for many years. Presently she works
as a visiting Paediatric Anaesthesiologist in UKM Specialist Children’s Hospital where
she continues her teaching and training of Masters students. Her special interest is in
minimally invasive surgery in neonates and infants and has been instrumental in
helping UKM Medical Centre to start its minimally invasive surgery in children in
2009. She sits in the Asian Society of Paediatric Anaesthesiologists (ASPA) Education
Committee, as well as the Malaysian Society of Paediatric Anaesthesiologist Executive
committee. She is the national chairman and co-ordinator of Paediatric Perioperative

I completed adult and pediatric anesthesia training in Japan (2005-2012), and worked as an attending anesthesiologist (2012-2015). 2015, I started a simulation/ research fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, United States, until 2017. I completed a clinical epidemiology and biostatistics course at the University of Pennsylvania during this period. Between 2017 and 2019, I completed pediatric anesthesia training at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in Ohio, United States. Since 2019, I have been engaged in clinical work, clinical research, and in-situ simulation in operating suites. Simultaneously, I obtained a master's degree in public health in 2022 and am engaged in clinical research as a Ph.D. course student. My research interests are pediatric airway management, machine invention to detect intravenous fluid infiltration, the impact of anesthetics on motor-evoked potentials in infants, pediatric postoperative nausea and vomiting, and anesthesia simulation. Specifically, my research collaborators and I have conducted the Japan Pediatric Difficult Airway Registry (J-PEDIA) study, which is the first multicenter prospective real-world data registry-based study to explore the epidemiological data and risk factors associated with complications related to airway management during general anesthesia in children.

Dr Kevin Ng Wei Shan is currently a senior medical lecturer and consultant anaesthesiologist at the University of Malaya. His love affair with anaesthesiology began way back in 2008 in Kuching, Sarawak where he was inspired to join the field after meeting the many wonderful anaesthesiologists there who were able to tie the wonders of physiology to clinical practice. He is currently working to inspire a new generation of doctors and anaesthesiologists from his university. Dr Sivaraj Chandran is fully trained in Adult and Paediatric Anaesthesiologists. He obtained his MBBS from the University of Malaya in 2006, followed by a Master of Medicine in Anesthesiology in 2014 from Universiti Sains Malaysia. In 2017, he joined the subspecialty program in Paediatric Anaesthesia and underwent clinical training at Pediatric Institute, Hospital Kuala Lumpur. Dr Sivaraj further pursued his one-year subspecialty training in Pediatric Anesthesia at Prince of Songkhla University, Thailand, and was conferred his Fellowship of Pediatric Anesthesia in 2019.

Professor. Karmakar, Manoj Kumar is from the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care of the Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and specializes in paediatric and regional anesthesia. He is the past president of the Asian Society of Paediatric Anaesthesiologist's (ASPA) and the Past Scientific Convener of the Asian & Oceanic Society of Regional Anaesthesia (AOSRA). Professor Karmakar is internationally recognized for his research in regional anesthesia, in both adults and children, and his areas of research interest include thoracic paravertebral block, spinal sonography, ultrasound guided central neuraxial blocks and local anesthetic pharmacology. Professor. Karmakar has pioneered many novel regional anesthetic techniques and published extensively, with a total 350 publications, of which 180 are in high impact peer review journals. His scholarly research work has been cited 8608 times (Google Scholar as of 15 August 2023) and his H-index is 48. Professor Karmakar is the recipient of the coveted Carl Koller Award 2023 of the European Society of Regional Anesthesia (ESRA) for his lifelong contribution to the advancement of regional anesthesia. Professor Karmakar has been invited as a guest speaker to innumerable international meetings around the world, been a faculty of countless international workshops, and has lectured as a Visiting Professor at reputable international universities. Prof. Karmakar is also an Associate Editor for Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine and a guest reviewer for several reputed journals in Anesthesiology. Dr. Norifumi Kuratani is the Anesthesiologist-in-chief at the Saitama Children's Medical Center, Japan. With extensive expertise in pediatric anesthesia, he has significantly contributed to both clinical practice and academic research in the field. Dr. Kuratani's academic journey includes several teaching positions such as Clinical Professor at Tohoku University School of Medicine, Visiting Professor at Saitama Medical University and Showa University School of Medicine, and Visiting Research Fellow at Teikyo University Graduate School of Public Health.
Dr. Kuratani's research interests are vast and include perioperative management, pediatric anesthesia, and the application of novel anesthetic agents. His work has been widely published in leading medical journals, with notable papers on remimazolam use in pediatric procedural sedation and the epidemiology of adverse events in pediatric anesthesia. He has also been a key investigator in studies on perioperative ketoacidosis associated with sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors.
In addition to his research, Dr. Kuratani is actively involved in international collaborations and educational initiatives. He served as the Chair of the Pediatric Anesthesia Committee and Council Member of the World Federation of Societies of Anesthesiologists (WFSA) from 2020-2024. He is also a member of the SAFE steering committee for the Association of Anaesthetists (UK). Dr. Siow Yew Nam joined the Department of Paediatric Anaesthesia at KK Women's and Children's Hospital in 2004, and received further paediatric anaesthesia training at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, Australia from 2007-2008, focusing on Anaesthesia for Craniofacial Surgeries and Pain Management in children. Upon his return, he served as the Clinical Director of the Children's Pain Service from 2008 to 2016.
As Director of the Pain Service, he formed the Paediatric Pain Committee at KKH in 2014, which is a hospital wide collaborative to advance pain management for children. In 2022, he led a team that helped KKH achieve the ChildKind certification, in recognition for its commitment to paediatric pain management.
From 2015-2024, Dr. Siow served as the Head of the Department of Paediatric Anaesthesia at KK Women's and Children's Hospital. In 2023, he was awarded the Singhealth GCEO Outstanding Clinician Award. She chaired the department between 2002 and 2010 and also served as the Interim Associate Dean Post Graduate Medical Education (PGME) at the University for three years.Her clinical interest is in Paediatric and Neuroanaesthesia. Her research interests are in perioperative haemodynamics and pain, and in Safety and Quality of Anaesthesia.She is the editor of seven Anesthesia Lecture Note Series and has published more than 200 articles in peer reviewed national and international journals. She had a mention in the Productive Scientists of Pakistan and received the Research Productivity Award of Pakistan Council of Science and Technology. She was one of the founding members of South Asian Confederation of Anaesthesiologists (SACA), now SAARC-AA. She served a term of 2 years as Vice president from Pakistan.She was the first Dean of the Critical Care Faculty in the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (2009-2015) and also received the Life Time Achievement Award from the Pakistan Society of Anaesthesiology, Karachi chapter..She was a past chair of Safety & Quality of Practice Committee (2016 -2020) and a founding member of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee of the World Federation of the Societies of Anaesthesiology (WFSA). Professor Yang Liqun graduated from the Second Military Medical University. He was elected as vice Secretary-in-General of Chinese Society of Anesthesiology (CSA) in 2023 and vice President of Shanghai Society of Anesthesiology in 2019. He has rich experience in anesthesia for hepatobiliary diseases, especially for pediatric liver transplantation. He formulated and wrote the Expert Consensus on Anesthesia Management for Pediatric Liver Transplantation in China and the Expert Consensus on Basic Techniques and Drugs for Standardized Perioperative analgesia Management. In terms of basic research, we focus on the regulatory mechanism of perioperative liver protection and liver regeneration, and the central regulatory mechanism of postoperative pain chronic.

Professor Thorsten Haas joined the UF College of Medicine in 2022 as the director of patient blood management and professor of anesthesiology in the division of Multispecialty Anesthesiology. Prior to joining UF, Professor Thorsten Haas worked in pediatric anesthesiology, implementing a blood management program for patients at the Zurich University Children’s Hospital in Switzerland and collaborating with colleagues around the world on viscoelastic testing, clinical training, as a presenter at conferences, and as an author on over 70 peer-reviewed publications.
Professor Thorsten Haas believe in an effective, honest, empathetic doctor-patient relationship. Every patient is unique and he listens carefully to their needs and fears. His research interests include point-of-care coagulation testing and perioperative coagulation management, with a focus on the use of coagulation factors during major paediatric surgeries.
